Since last week with the help of our friend and his foundation we are providing kits of daily essentials to the families of daily wagers, waste pickers. Few days ago we had distributed around 25 kits whereas yesterday we distributed 30 more kits. At 11 in the morning somebody knocked on our gate. Nowadays with all this lockdown and all, this is very rare. Curiously we went outside to realised that there are around 7 women standing outside. In no time we recognised them. They were from Tambapura area of Jalgaon where we run our community learning center ‘Anandghar’. All these women who are above 65 years old works as waste pickers. Yesterday when we distributed the kits they were not at home. They have walked almost 7 km in 40 Degree temp just with a hope that they will definitely get the kits if they will come to our place. गेल्या काही दिवसापासून जळगावातील आमचा मित्र दिपक याच्या भरारी फाउंडेशनच्या मदतीने आम्ही वस्तीतील महिलांना धान्य आणि जीवनावश्यक वस्तुंच कीट वाटतो आहोत. गहू, तांदूळ, डाळ आणि तर काही वस्तू असलेलं हे कीट ४/५ जणांच्या कुटुंबाला सुमारे ५ दिवस पुरेल इतका अन्नसाठा या कीटमध्ये उपलब्ध आहे. काही दिवसापूर्वी आम्ही सुमारे २५ जणांना हे कीट वाटले. तर काल रात्री पुन्हा एकदा ३० जणांना हे कीट देण्यात आले. आज सकाळी ११ वाजेच्या सुमारास आमच्या घराचं गेट वाजलं. बाहेर जाऊन बघितल तर तांबापुरा परिसरातील ७ महिला दाराशी उभ्या होत्या. गेट उघडून सगळ्यांना आधी आत घेतल. काल कीट देताना काही जणी घरी नव्हत्या, त्यांना कीट मिळाल नव्हत. या सगळ्या महिला पायी चालत तांबापुराहून आमच्या घरी आल्या होत्या. ६०/६५ च्यावरती वय असलेल्या या   सगळ्या अंदाजे ६-७ किलोमीटर ४० डिग्री तापमानात “दादांच्या घरी गेलो तर आपल्याला नक्की कीट मिळेल” असा विचार करून तिथून चालत आल्या होत्या. “किमान फोन करायचा ताई आम्ही आलो असतो.” असे सांगतिले तर “तुमचा नंबर नव्हता. कुणाकडे काही मिळत नाही तर उगीच घरी आशा लावायला नको म्हणून आमही कुणाला न सांगता
